Lauren - Owner
Hi, I’m Lauren! Wife to my wonderful husband Luke, mum of 2 babes and a teen. My household is busy and non stop but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My cup is overflowing with more love than I could have ever imagined having in my life and I wake up every day pretty stoked with my life and little family.
I grew up on a farm in country Victoria with my family…. A lot of family. My immediate family in one house on the property, my nan in another, my aunty in another, and right up the top of the property my great grandparents. There was a village of us! There wasn’t much around so nearly every day was family day! My Aunty Lee was a brilliant artist and painted the most incredible paintings. She sketched Australian flora with charcoal and had an immaculate beautiful garden that we used to potter in, this is where my love for art in general started which was combined with all the feels of being so close with your family - which ended up drawing me to the love of wedding and portrait photography.
I am obsessed with the art and glamour of wedding photos, but the thing I enjoy most is the busy. Not any busy that anyone attending the wedding would feel, I like to be very chilled on the outside and super easy going, but the busy of the things people don’t see. The Groom’s fidgety sweaty hands that he cant stop rubbing together as he excitedly waits for his wife to be to arrive. The mum’s of the Bride and Groom who give each other the biggest ‘we are so proud of our babies’ hug after the ceremony with tears flowing. Proud Grandparents… I can’t…they make me cry every time. One of my absolute favourite things to see. I can imagine how cool it is to be a grandparent and watch your children’s child get married. Without wishing my life away, I am super excited to be that grandparent one day. The Bride and Groom’s smirks and cheeky kisses when no-one is watching… the best. The real.
These are the things that make weddings like nothing else. It’s a treasured beautiful experience and we are blessed to call being a part of it ‘work’.
